CHARITY BALL AUCTION APPEAL - Friday, August 10th, 2007
Football shirts signed by three top Premiership teams are expected to raise up to £2,500 for the Severn Hospice at a Gala Ball on September 15.
They have been donated by removals firm J.Upton for an auction at the event organised by businessman Graham Wynn (left), of driver training specialists, the TTC Group, who hopes to raise £20,000 for the hospice appeal.
Managing Director Steve Upton-Clear is handing over the three shirts from his own private collection and signed by the full squads from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
“I have collected sports memorabilia for a number of years and these official shirts are part of my collection. This is for an excellent cause so I am happy to donate them knowing they are high value collectors’ items which will help us achieve our fund raising target.”
He appealed for every Shropshire business to make a donation to the auction for the Gala Ball evening at the Telford International Centre.
“Every company should get behind this. If we all donate something, especially an experience that you can’t normally buy, then this will help the charity.”
Graham added: “We are appealing for exciting and exhilarating prizes which will go down well with our audience of business people and raise large amounts of money just as these football shirts will. We are also looking for a range of raffle prizes and any donation will be gratefully received.”
The black tie event is for 600 with small businesses able to reserve seats to share a table or you can book a table for ten at £450 plus VAT. For a reservation call the TTC Group now on 0845 270 4380 or email graham.wynn@ttc-uk.com
