The TTC Group has praised the town of Telford for assisting its phenomenal growth.
The fast expanding company, which is now delivering more than 367,000 training hours at 112 nationwide venues each year, is ideally based in the centre of the UK to carry out its business, said Group Director Graham Wynn OBE.
The firm, which educates many of the nation’s drivers, moved into its custom built premises at Hadley Park, Telford, exactly two years ago. The £1.25 million development - officially opened by the Princess Royal - has given the company a platform to continue its rapidly expanding business.
“Being in Telford has definitely helped our expansion. Many business people tell me we should be in London to succeed and I keep telling them, that actually, Telford is the best place to be,” said Mr Wynn.
“It suits our business as a national training company to be here where we are ideally placed to access all areas of the country. We deliver speed awareness courses in Merseyside and Yorkshire and the National Driver Improvement Scheme in Kent. We are creating jobs and our contracts are expanding with councils and police forces across the UK.
“We are going from strength to strength and I cannot stress just how important it is for us to be centrally located. We have space here to grow our business creating employment opportunities for new staff and we also have the added advantage of living and working in Shropshire which has to be one of the most beautiful counties.”
The TTC Group puts more than 10,000 through its highly acclaimed courses for convicted drink drivers and is the UK’s leading provider. The company is also expanding its driver training programmes and currently puts 27,500 drivers through speed awareness courses and the National Driver Improvement Scheme.
Demand from private and public sector companies for driver training has triggered another expansion for TTC with the Group due to announce a new senior appointment to head their division of Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR).
The firm, started by Graham and Jenny Wynn in the mid 1990’s, recently appointed five new directors to spearhead growth. They are National Training Director Malcolm Jones, Financial Director Steve Watson, Accounts and Administrative Director Pauline Hall with Mel Hughes and John Price appointed associate directors.
