SAVE SPEED FOR THE RACE TRACK

graham-car-07-copy.jpgShropshire’s Graham Wynn is a careful driver but still enjoys the thrills of the race track.

He jointly runs a national driver training organisation by day but at the weekend dons motor racing overalls for a spin around the racing circuit.

His Shropshire company, the TTC Group, with its motto Safer Roads by Educating Drivers runs speed awareness courses for motorists who fall foul of the speed limits on UK roads.

But he has now taken his speed awareness message to the racing circuit with a Mini racing car emblazoned with key safety messages which are given out by his company to thousands of drivers each year who come on company training courses.

“Driving can be fun and speed can be exhilarating but the serious message here is that you have to save it for the race track,” said Graham, who has won two trophies for placings in his first two races at Oulton Park and Mallory Park.

TTCs Z cars Mini Monte Carlo, a space framed race car with a mid mounted Honda type R engine with 250bhp driving the rear wheels, is now getting to be a familiar site at race tracks.

“We are a driver training organisation and we do recognise that speed is exciting but it is how you manage it,” said Graham, whose company runs corporate driver training for professional fleet drivers, courses for 10,000 convicted drink drivers each year and delivers a national driver improvement scheme. The company is also geared up to deliver speed awareness programmes nationwide where drivers who break speed limits re-learn essential skills while not losing points on their licence.
