NEW DIRECTOR FOR TTC GROUP

steve-watson-08web.jpgChartered accountant Steve Watson has been appointed a director of the award winning Shropshire organisation, the TTC Group, which contributes towards road casualty reduction through education and training.

With more than 20 years experience working both in the corporate sector and private practice, Steve, from Wednesfield, originally qualified with Coopers & Lybrand which merged with Price Waterhouse to form PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers).

Associated with TTC (Telford Training Consultants) for 16 years, he has worked with a major retail group as well as being a partner in Walsall based Baker & Co.

Now working in consultancy, Steve said: “I have seen Telford Training Consultants grow from a small business into the major award winning organisation it is today with a strong national and local reputation. I am very proud to become a director of one of Shropshire’s hugely successful companies.”

The TTC Group’s new offices at Hadley Park, Telford, - officially opened by the Princess Royal last year - is the headquarters for the organisation which is the UK’s leading provider of education for convicted drink drivers.

As well as putting more than 10,000 drivers through its highly acclaimed drink drive courses, TTC is currently expanding its driver training expertise into running speed awareness courses and the National Driver Improvement Scheme (NDIS) on behalf of councils and police nationwide.

The company runs speed awareness courses on behalf of police in South Yorkshire and Merseyside and the NDIS scheme for Kent County Council. They are also a leading provider of education courses for the corporate sector in Managing Occupational Road Risk.

TTC Group director Graham Wynn, who received the OBE for services to road safety, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Steve to the board.
