The TTC Group has appointed two new directors to help deliver public driver education courses on behalf of police and councils in a major expansion for the Shropshire company.
National Training Manager Malcolm Jones and accounts and office manager Pauline Hall join the board at the driver training specialists whose head office in Hadley Park, Telford, was opened by the Princess Royal last year.
The duo will be directors of TTC 2000, part of the fast growing empire, which is the UK’s leading provider of courses for convicted drink drivers. Each year TTC put more than 10,000 through its courses which have been highly acclaimed for reducing re-offending rates.
The company’s portfolio has since increased with the development of police diversionary schemes for drivers with TTC now running speed awareness programmes and National Driver Improvement Schemes. Kent, South Yorkshire and Merseyside have appointed TTC to run their driver training schemes.
Spearheading the expansion in driver training is Malcolm Jones (42) with 20 years experience in driver safety. A former driving instructor and road safety officer, Malcolm was involved in setting up the national model for today’s speed awareness courses. He helped set up the NDIS scheme in Kent for TTC and is involved in developing superior training courses with some of the best professionals in the industry for the corporate sector.
“We are helping to change attitudes to drink driving and driver safety. Our courses have an effect on many thousands of people,” said Malcolm, who writes questions for the theory test for new drivers and riders on behalf of the Driver Standards Agency.
Office manager Pauline Hall (44) will oversee administration and customer liaison and head the company accounts department including the Group’s payroll, purchase and sales ledger reconciliation.
The one-time office junior at Barclays Bank rose to Customer Service Manager during a 22 year career working at bank branches across the West Midlands before joining TTC.
TTC Group Director Jenny Wynn said: “We have made the appointments to strengthen the TTC board and will use their combined experience to improve our position in a growing sector of our business.”
