HOSPICE CHARITY BALL
Hoping to raise £20,000 - charity Gala Ball organiser Graham Wynn takes to the “dance floor” with hospice fund raiser Sarah Hawthorne at the Severn Hospice.
A tour of a firearms training school, signed memorabilia from racing car supremo Jason Button and a visit to the Palace of Westminster are among just some of the auction prizes on offer at a Gala Ball in aid of the Severn Hospice.
Shropshire business leaders have given tremendous support for the event which hopes to raise £20,000 for the charity, said businessman Graham Wynn who is organising the Gala Ball at Telford International Centre on September 15.
“Many leading county businesses have supported the Gala Ball with more than 500 places booked but we do have some seats still remaining and I would like to appeal to companies to give me a call and book the remaining places.
“It will be a fun night. Good food, excellent entertainment and the chance to make a significant contribution to such a worthwhile cause. This is the time when the corporate world can really come out and make a difference.”
More auction and raffle prizes are also wanted to add to the variety of gifts on offer which include corporate hospitality at Badminton Horse Trials, a touring car race meeting and a Honda powerboat race.
Football shirts signed by three top Premiership teams are expected to raise up to £2,500 for the hospice. Steve Upton-Clear, Managing Director of removals firm J.Upton, is handing over the three shirts from his own private collection and signed by the full squads from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Graham added: “We are appealing for exciting and exhilarating prizes which will go down well with our audience of business people and raise large amounts of money. We are also looking for a range of raffle prizes and any donation will be gratefully received.”
The black tie event is for 600 with small businesses able to reserve seats to share a table or you can book a table for ten. For a reservation call the driver training specialists at the TTC Group, of Hadley Park, Telford, on 0845 270 4380 or email graham.wynn@ttc-uk.com
