Developing a “living” document that ensures you comply with the changing legislation is the foundation to Managing Road Risk. Most organisations have a basic policy that may well be out of date and not give the necessary protection that the policy was originally designed for. The additional danger with larger companies is that different policies and procedures have been developed by different departments and do not show consistency.

Free Initial Consultation
TTC are pleased to offer a free initial consultation carried out independently by the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers (AIRSO) in regard to your existing management systems. This will provide you with valuable information to guide your organisation in the right direction to improve compliance.

Comprehensive Policy Review
A senior consultant can be assigned to your organisation to ascertain how effective your existing systems and policies are, in order to identify any area which needs to be improved in accordance with HSE’s established HSG65 model.
The consultant will help your organisation develop a systematic approach to create the foundations for success whilst helping you to understand your exposure to risk. By working closely with internal staff members, our consultant can then prepare your organisation to:

  • Identify your current situation
  • Develop policy and aims
  • Develop targets and set KPI’s
  • Agree performance measures
  • Manage the process – system and solutions
  • Measure and monitor performance
  • Develop an ongoing review process

Once the review is completed, the consultant will then prepare their findings and report back with further recommendations by means of a report and / or a more formal presentation.

Driving Licence Checks
The HSE Guidelines on Driving at Work strongly recommend that drivers’ licences are checked when they join a company, or are first invited to drive on behalf of the company, and periodically thereafter.
TTC are able to provide a simple low cost yet comprehensive service for the verification of drivers. This service simplifies and reduces the administration overhead, whilst providing the security of checking the driver by directly accessing licensing or other authorities records.

Driver's Handbook
TTC can develop your existing handbook or create from scratch a tailor made driver’s handbook that provides relevant information to your organisation and helps to create a safer culture. It can also provide positive information on topics such as:

  • Driver Fatigue
  • Vehicle Checks
  • Mis-fuelling
  • Alcohol and Controlled Drugs
  • Breakdown and Roadside Repairs
  • Accident Reporting
  • Fuel Saving and C02 Emissions
  • Defensive Driving Techniques
  • Motorway Driving
  • Driving at Night
  • Seasonal Driving
  • Personal Safety
  • Speed Limits
